Neck Lifts

The neck is often the first area to exhibit the signs of facial aging. Whether you’ve noticed mild sagging, prominent bands created by more pronounced muscle sagging, or excessive skin and fat, through careful consultation, Dr. Lefkowitz will help you select the best neck lift for achieving the rejuvenated appearance you desire.

About the Procedure

The specific techniques applied during your neck lift will be determined during your initial consultations with Dr. Lefkowitz. In general, your surgery may include liposuction, muscle tightening, or a combination of the two. With incisions subtly concealed by skin creases below the skin, and sometimes behind the ear, you can be assured a natural, refreshed appearance.

Your Results

Regardless of the applied technique, you can expect a sharper, more sculpted neck. Through gentle skin draping, re-suspension of the underlying soft tissue, and the removal of excess fatty deposits when necessary, your neck lift will restore youthful tautness without actually feeling tight. You can expect to see full aesthetic results within 3 months after your procedure.

Complementary Procedures

facelift may be the perfect option for patients who desire overall facial rejuvenation. Fat transfer (using your own fat) can also be a great addition to your neck lift by further defining and accentuating a weak jawline and filling in those smile lines. As always, Dr. Lefkowitz will work closely with you to ensure your comfort and confidence.

Most patients experience only mild discomfort after a neck lift. Swelling and bruising is normal and expected after surgery, however this usually subsides substantially within 10-14 days. Recovery may take longer if other procedures are performed in conjunction. You will be given prescription medications to help with pain management.

You can expect to take time off from working and strenuous activity as you heal. Some clients need the full 14 days off, but many are able to return to work within 10 days. After two weeks, you may return to light exercise with a gradual increase in activity over the following weeks.

Dr. Lefkowitz believes continuing care is essential to achieving the most positive results. After your neck lift he will continue to guide you through all phases of the post-operative process including sun protection, diet, exercise, and continued skincare management.
