Recovery
You can expect redness and swelling for approximately 10-14 days. After the first seven days however, the redness starts to dissipate more quickly as your skin replenishes itself.
You may return to normal activities the day of your peel and back to more intense activity (aerobics, tennis, etc) after seven to eight days. You will be given a light ointment to keep your skin moist during the initial healing phase. It is recommended to use sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher whenever any exposure to sun is expected.
Achieving healthy, more youthful skin is possible with attention to several environmental factors. Avoiding tobacco products, strict sun protection with sun block, avoidance of tanning beds, and generous hydration are important initial steps in maximizing your skin’s natural beauty.
